Best Photo Editing Apps!

Don’t you hate it when the photos you’ve clicked doesn’t seem right even after a dozen attempts?, You may not like it's brightness, contrast, orientation or, you may want to add something to make the photos look catchy and special. That’s when photo editing apps come in handy. They pack a lot of features and are as good as lightweight desktop editors. Most social media apps already include editors in their interface. But, if you want more vivid customization, you can use any of these photo editor apps. Here are some of my favorite photo editor apps, which i personally use and i highly recommend you to get your hands on it!

1. Snapseed:

Snapseed is a powerful Android photo editor developed by Google that carries quite a lot of features. It is available for free and is also ad-free. The app has a user-friendly interface which is easy to use, just tap on the screen and open up any file you like. It comes with many different types of filters to modify the look of the photo including 29 different varieties of tools. Once done with the editing, you can easily export the file to save it or share it with your friends. The best part about this app which i like is that it has no restrictions, but that doesn't mean that it can't render high quality photos, that's why it deserves to be in the top of the list!, Google is certainly doing a great job.

2. Adobe Lightroom CC:

Adobe Lightroom CC offers a powerful set of tools for editing your photos. You can edit a photo in seconds with sliders and one-tap filters. But it’s the advanced photo editing tools that make this app stand out. The curves, color mix, and split tone tools offer incredible control over color and exposure. You can also apply edits selectively to certain parts of an image. And the healing tool makes it easy to remove unwanted objects from your photos. This app is free but you need to pay to unlock additional features, mostly i use this app to bring out the color of my photos to make it feel professional and alive.

3. VSCO:

VSCO (pronounced “Visco”) is one of the best photo filter appVSCO filters allow you to change the look and feel of a photo with a single tap. They offer a quick and easy way to enhance your  photos. Many filter apps have garish colored filters that can ruin your pictures. But VSCO is different. VSCO filters are beautiful and understated, emulating the look of classic film. And you can easily adjust the filter strength, allowing you to tone down the effect to create just the look you want.

The filters are conveniently organized into different categories, such as Warm, Cool, Vibrant, and Black & White. You’ll also find filters suited to particular photography genres, such as Portrait, Nature, and Urban. In addition to the filters, the app has a good set of editing tools for fine-tuning color and exposure. VSCO also includes a built-in camera app with manual controls. And it even has its own photo-sharing platform. However, it’s the filters that really draw photographers to the VSCO app. So if you’re looking for an amazing filter app to enhance your images, VSCO is a fantastic choice.

This app is free and It comes with a basic collection of 10 filters to get you started. And you can get access to the full set of over 130 filters by subscribing to VSCO X membership. I use the free version since i know to make my own filters.

So that's all for today!, These 3 are my main apps which i use to edit, you can also check out my Instagram @music_is_my_lifeline to see more pictures, and you can also dm me if you have some issues or need to clear out some doubts. I hope you all have a great day!

Top Best Camera Apps for your Phone!

The camera app that comes installed on your phone is probably pretty good, but it does not have all the features that can make you take pictures with full capacity of your phone camera. This issue can be improved with a wide variety of 3rd-party camera apps that can help you take even better photos. Apps with tools for experienced photographers to apps with fun effects for beginners. Here are some best camera app for both Android and IOS.

1. Google Camera:

This app was created by Google themselves for their Pixel smartphones, So it is only available for android users and i guess everyone already knows what type of mind blowing picture quality one can get from these phones, But it’s not the hardware that produces the great results. Google’s camera software has some fancy tricks up its sleeve. Users have been able to improve the camera quality on other devices with the same app, and yes that means you have to root your phone and do some weird technical things with your phone to be able to use this particular app, In my opinion, don't go for this app if your'e not a professional, because you might mess up your phone, or you can get it done by a technical guy who has already done it.

2. Camera+ 2:

Camera+ 2 is a powerful camera app with an integrated photo editing suite. It offers manual iPhone camera controls, including shutter speed, ISO, white balance, and focus. It also has a range of shooting modes for different situations. Macro mode is perfect for close-up photography. Slow Shutter mode helps you take stunning long exposure photos. You can only use Camera+ 2 on iPhone 7 PlusiPhone 8 PlusiPhone XiPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max.

Another great feature of Camera+ 2 is the ability to separate the focus and exposure points. This makes it easy to focus on one part of the image, but expose for a different part. The handy editing suite offers tools to improve exposure, color, and clarity. Or you can use the one-tap filters to quickly change the look and feel of your photo. The layers feature lets you stack several different filters for a unique look. This app is paid and costs around ₹200/-.

3. Camera FV-5:

Camera FV-5 has a lot of manual controls. That includes focus, exposure, white balance, and even shutter speed. Once you get everything dialed in, you can shoot photos in RAW, lossless PNG, and RGB histogram. This makes it easy to tinker with photos after they have been taken with more powerful editing software. This app is available for both Android and IOS, plus there is a paid version of this app called the Camera FV-5 Pro, it has some additional features, you can check that one out too.

3. ProCamera:

ProCamera gives you incredible control over your camera settings. If you’re looking for a DSLR-like experience with your iPhone camera, ProCamera is the app for you. The clean and simple interface makes it easy to adjust settings like ISO and shutter speed. And the on-screen histogram helps you get the perfect exposure in your shots. The advanced white balance setting lets you fine-tune the color tint and temperature.
ProCamera has some handy settings for shooting in awkward light conditions. The anti-shake setting ensures you never get a blurry shot. The LowLight modes help you take better photos in dark conditions. And HDR mode is perfect for creating better exposures in high-contrast scenes. HDR and LowLight+ modes are only available as extra in-app purchases. But you can try them out before you buy to see if you like them. Unfortunately this app is paid and costs around ₹400/-.

4. DSLR Camera Pro:

You can already make out by the name of this app and it's interface that it will have some DSLR features. This app mostly backs it up with manual controls for white balance, ISO, exposure, and RGB histogram support. If you miss the physical two-stage shutter button on real cameras, this app mimics that with a two-stage shutter tap. This app is available only for android, and it costs ₹210 on the playstore.

So that's it for today guys! I hope you liked it, as usual like and comment, share your view and suggestions, and don't forget to follow to get notified!. Have a great day.

Hey guy's, Welcome back to The Phoneography Blog!, I hope you liked my previous introduction post, if you haven't seen it, then i recommend you to go and check that out first. So.... as i spoke previously about "What is Phoneography" and gave you all a brief idea about it's whole concept, and i'm pretty sure that you are also interested to learn more and become a successful and a well known Phoneographer.

So today in this post i'm going to talk more on how you can gear up your phoneography game. If your smartphone isn't your only camera these days, it's likely your primary one. While a good smartphone can give you some great photos on its own, there's more options available that will definitely help you make your photos to standout and blow away peoples minds.

1. Smartphone Tripod:

A tripod of some sort is a must-have for any traditional photography kit, and that's just as true when you're shooting with your phone. A Gorilla-Pod is available in versions for large or small smartphones, and will give you plenty of flexibility whether you're just taking a group photo or trying to capture a shot from a hard to reach angle. As you can see in the above image, this gorilla-pod is very flexible and it can literally be use in any type of situation, weather you want to shoot a time-lapse video or a slow-mo video, it just simply makes the effort easier and gets things done and needs low maintenance. So this particular Gorilla-Pods are available on online stores like Amazon & Flipkart, you can also get it from nearby camera stores. It's price usually ranges from ₹500 to ₹1,500. Also it can be used for vloging but there is another interesting gadget that will blow your minds, it is the next gadget on the list.

2. Gimbal:

Now i won't get too technical about this one, because i don't want to make it boring for you guys, So basically this gadget is like an electronic stick which holds on to your phone, and it has a motor inside it which helps you to keep the phone as stable as possible to get smooth shots, it is the perfect gadget for you if you are into vloging or if you are into cinematic videography, But it needs high maintenance, So this particular Gimblas are available on online stores like Amazon & Flipkart, you can also get it from nearby camera stores if you are lucky enough, because it is rear and expensive. It's price usually ranges form ₹6,000 to ₹11,000.

3. Lens Kit:

So this is basically a set of lens for your phone camera which helps you to get better focal length, clarity and a versatile image. So this set contains a fish-eye lens, a macro lens, a telephoto lens, a wide angle lens, and a micro lens, so this accessory helps your phone to zoom better, to take close up images, to get wide photos, with a better focal length and clarity. But keep in mind that it needs high maintenance because lenses are likely to get fungus in humidity, and it is very fragile. So this particular Gorilla-Pods are available on online stores like Amazon & Flipkart, you can also get it from nearby camera stores. It's price usually ranges from ₹1,500 to ₹3,500.

So that is all for today guys, i hope you liked it and learned something from this post, do share your thoughts in the comment sections, and don't forget to leave a like, and of course follow to get notified about the next post, Have a great day.

What is Phoneography?

Phoneography is the act of creating photos that have been shot and processed by a mobile phone. Phoneography, though is already a few years old, became mainstream with the advent of the iPhone and its App Store which provided better, easier, and more creative tools for people to shoot, process, and share their work. Now a days, even Android phones are very advanced and are capable of delivering excellent high resolution quality photos.

The number of mobile phone users in the world is expected to pass the five billion mark by 2019. The number of smartphone users is forecast to grow from 2.1 billion in 2016 to around 2.5 billion in 2019, with smartphone penetration rates increasing as well. Since billions of people are using smart phones in their day to day life, they now prefer to click photos, edit photos, and post photos through their phones only. Experts have also noted that an increase in the sale and usage of smartphones are directly related to a gradual decline in camera sales over the past decade. This indicates that normal people & also professional photographers now prefer smartphones over cameras, because it is very portable, easy & fast.

Of course cameras have better focal lengths, and clarity compared to phones, and are more towards the higher side on quality & value, but in the end both of the gadgets have their own plus points & minus points.

The above analysis shows the increase in photography on phone

Many people use their camera phones to take pictures to share on social media simply because it is so easy and fast. The images on Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat are dominated by images created on smartphones.

You’ve probably seen billboards or ads with an amazing photo with the caption, “Shot on iPhone”. Here are a few shots :-

The ability to take amazing, mind blowing photos is right at your fingertips. For those who are looking to get a bit more serious about their images, keep in mind that there are a wide range of lenses and accessories that you can get too!, and that will be shared in my next post, so make sure to follow me to get notified when the next post will by up. I hope you liked this post, do give like & comment if you enjoyed it, have a great day.
